DESCRIPTION:
In the premises of this project there is the conviction of the functional, aesthetic and environmental issues that were designed for a sensitive and symbolic relationship for the Mooca - Vila Carioca urban operation.
The building proposal expands and renews the demands bringing new experiences and making the school a visible equipment and creating its own identity, presenting itself as a great transformation scenario for the place.
The building uses a contemporary architecture, the concept developed meets the needs of each specific activity, encouraging unimpeded access to the various communities to their appropriate destinations. A large opening was installed in the center of the volume in order to give the school the necessary visibility as well as its integration with the rooms through corridors. Functions such as reading spaces, work and reception areas were installed in the vicinity of this large opening, the sides and cover were designed through spatial structure with diagonal lines, in turn, emphasize the internal environments in order that such spaces can benefit Of natural light.
Light-diffusing sealing elements protect the façades from excessive sunshine from the North and South orientations and enable cross-ventilation with the central opening of the volume. The project was conceived as an architecture that contemplates a series of elements that guarantee an essential and expressive demand to the place making an environment efficient and pleasant for the students.
